Clint McGhie
Company Secretary
Mr McGhie is an experienced Chartered Accountant and Company Secretary who commenced his career at a large international accounting firm and has since been involved with a number of ASX and AIM listed exploration and development companies operating in the resources sector, including Apollo Minerals Limited, Berkeley Energia Limited and Sovereign Metals Limited. Mr McGhie is also an Associate Member of the Governance Institute of Australia (Chartered Secretary), and a Fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia.
Tony Swiericzuk
CEO & Managing Director
Mr Swiericzuk is a Mining Engineer with outstanding credentials as a builder and operator of infrastructure and mining projects. He recently held the senior executive position of Fortescue’s Director Business Development and Exploration. Prior to that was General Manager of the Christmas Creek Iron Ore Mine from 2012 to 2017 and oversaw the construction, commissioning and ramp-up of this project from 15Mtpa to 60Mtpa in his initial 2 year period. He was instrumental in optimising the operations that helped drive FMG to become the world’s lowest cost iron ore producer. In his initial years at FMG Mr Swiericzuk was also General Manager Port Operations in Port Hedland and managed the ramp up from 20Mtpa to 60Mtpa from 2009 to 2011. During his 25 year career Mr Swiericzuk has worked in multiple industries including mines, ports and steelworks covering many commodities. He holds an Honours Degree in Mining Engineering from The University of Queensland, a Master of Business Administration from Deakin University, and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Travis Burrows
Manager – Commercial
Mr Burrows has nearly 30 years’ experience in the Australian and Asia Pacific Region including more than 15 years’ experience in senior leadership positions. Most recently prior to joining Salt Lake Potash, he held a senior leadership role with one of Australia’s leading engineering, contracting and service providers in the infrastructure, building, energy, resources and transport sectors. He is a board member of Regional Development Australia and is an elected member at City of South Perth. Travis is a Mechanical Engineer and has substantial contracts, commercial and governance experience in construction, project management and operations.
Grant Coyle
Head of Corporate Development
Mr Coyle is a Chartered Accountant with more than a decade of experience in senior commercial roles at Rio Tinto. Mr Coyle has extensive experience in the commercial assessment of capital expenditure encompassing greenfield, brownfield and mergers and acquisitions. Mr Coyle spent significant time negotiating major commercial contracts such as Joint Ventures and off-take contracts and spent time at Macquarie Capital focused on investment and advisory.
Matt Bungey
Project Director – Strategy & Funding
Mr Bungey is an investment banker and experienced advisor across mergers and acquisitions and financing. Mr Bungey has been involved in over US$100 billion of executed mergers and acquisitions across the resources and agriculture sectors, including deals such as the Glencore Xstrata merger. Mr Bungey has also been involved in numerous groundbreaking financings and is a Board member of BGC Australia. Prior to banking Mr Bungey worked as a Chemical Engineer in the mining sector.
Jacqui Hymus
Manager – People & Culture
Mrs Hymus is a trusted human resources professional with over 25 years’ experience and has held senior, strategic roles within the consulting, mining, professional services and hospitality industry. Competent across the full range of human resources abilities with a specific focus on delivering on organisational change and managing issues at both the strategic and individual level. Mrs Hymus’ extensive experience includes providing advice and support around improving human resources practices, policies and procedures, coaching senior management and training.
Lloyd Edmunds
Project Director – Civil
Mr Edmunds is a Civil Engineer with more than 20 years of project management and construction delivery experience for leading resources and infrastructure companies. Mr Edmunds has led extensive civil projects worth multi-billion dollars at Fortescue (T45 and T155), and Adani Carmichael Rail.
Peter Cardillo
Project Director – Processing & NPI
Mr Cardillo is an engineer with excellent credentials and is highly experienced in the efficient delivery of large processing construction projects. Mr Cardillo has more than 30 years of experience in senior leadership positions across major mining companies such as Fortescue Metals Group, BHP, Adani and HATCH. Mr Cardillo also founded and still presides as Chairperson of engineering consultancy firm Project Portfolio Management (PPM).
Stephen Cathcart
Project Director – Technical
Mr Cathcart is a mining engineer with over 25 years’ experience including a decade of senior leadership positions in Fortescue Metals Group, ranging from General Manager Rail, Group Manager Integrated Planning, Mine Manager Christmas Creek Mine and most recently as Technical Manager Business Development. Mr Cathcart also hold his MBA and has strong experience across other Tier 1 major mining companies.
Bob Kinnell
Manager – Exploration
Mr Kinnell is a hydrogeologist with over 25 years experience in mine water management, groundwater exploration and brine resource development. He has worked on brine resource assessments for salars in Chile and Argentina as well as a number of Western Australian salt lakes. He is a member of the AusIMM and Fellow of the Geological Society of London and a competent person for the JORC reporting of brine resources. He has strong experience across tier 1 mining, professional services and consulting firms.
Howard Chapman
Project Manager NPI
Mr Chapman holds a BE hons electrical engineer Wollongong university with over 35+ years’ experience in projects and engineering management in Australia, Chile, USA, Asia, NZ ,including a long period of senior leadership positions in BHP Steel, ranging from Project Director, Technical Principal, project manager, BHP Coal QLD Project Delivery Manager, Adani Coal , Package Manager for NPI. Mr Chapman has strong experience in construction sectors including steel, mining, power, and water.
Christopher Maiolo
Senior Project Engineer
Mr Maiolo is a civil engineer with 10 years of experience, and holds post-graduate qualifications in Project Management. He has worked across a number of large, complex, and remote projects in the civil and mining industries throughout Australia. Most recently he worked with Adani Australia and was Project Manager for a top-tier Australasian contractor.
Jim Phillips
Manager – Technical & Innovation
Mr Phillips is an international mining engineer, executive and technologist with over 25 years’ experience in the development and implementation of paradigm-breaking technology for the mining industry. He has worked for and lead multinational companies in South America and Australia across a multitude of project start-ups for mine owner, contractor and supplier.
William Folder
Project Manager Process Plant
Mr Folder is a mechanical engineer and holds a Master of Management with over 35 years’ experience in operations and management. He has previously been involved in bringing to commercialisation new technology projects in the steel industry. Mr Folder also has broad operating experience including commissioning plants, through to managing operations in the steel and resources sector.
Luke Reeves
Manager – Process
Mr Reeves is a Chartered Chemical Engineer with 20 years’ experience spanning diverse sectors in Mining, Industrial gases and Water. Having worked in project delivery, operations and engineering consulting for several large organisations, he brings a broad range of skills to the Salt Lake Potash team. Joining the team in 2017, as Manager Process, he is responsible for all process development activities and taking the flowsheet from concept to delivery.
Wend Sutton
Manager – HSES
Mr Sutton has over 28 years’ experience in the mining industry and performed in a wide range of management positions with BHP Billiton ranging from Fire, Emergency & Security Coordinator to Acting Manager HSEQ and most recently in Dyno Nobel Asia Pacific as a Business Improvement Manager, Pilbara Operations Manager, Commercial Business Manager and Regional Operation Manager WA/SA.
Ken Wilyman
Manager – Studies & Approvals
Mr Wilyman is a chartered engineer with 30 years project experience working in senior leadership roles across a range of mining, resource and infrastructure projects. Mr Wilyman was a Project Manager for a wide variety of projects during an eight-year period at Fortescue Metals Group including studies, operational improvements and large multi-billion dollar infrastructure projects.
David Fisher
Manager – Engineering
Mr Fisher is an engineer with 30 years’ experience delivering major multi-discipline infrastructure, mining and marine projects. Mr Fisher was Delivery Manager in charge of the Fortescue Metals Group T155 Port expansion project, including overall responsibility for co-ordination of engineering and procurement. Mr Fisher has also led multi-billion projects for Aurizon and Adani.
