Tony Swiericzuk
CEO & Managing Director
Mr Swiericzuk is a Mining Engineer with outstanding credentials as a builder and operator of infrastructure and mining projects. He recently held the senior executive position of Fortescue’s Director Business Development and Exploration. Prior to that was General Manager of the Christmas Creek Iron Ore Mine from 2012 to 2017 and oversaw the construction, commissioning and ramp-up of this project from 15Mtpa to 60Mtpa in his initial 2 year period. He was instrumental in optimising the operations that helped drive FMG to become the world’s lowest cost iron ore producer. In his initial years at FMG Mr Swiericzuk was also General Manager Port Operations in Port Hedland and managed the ramp up from 20Mtpa to 60Mtpa from 2009 to 2011. During his 25 year career Mr Swiericzuk has worked in multiple industries including mines, ports and steelworks covering many commodities. He holds an Honours Degree in Mining Engineering from The University of Queensland, a Master of Business Administration from Deakin University, and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Shaun Day
Chief Financial Officer
Shaun is a Chartered Accountant and experienced CFO with over 20 years of experience in executive and financial positions across mining and infrastructure, investment banking and international accounting firms. Shaun was Previously CFO of Northern Star Resources, overseeing company’s market cap expansion from A$700m to A$8bn.
Stephen Cathcart
Project Director – Technical
Mr Cathcart is a mining engineer with over 25 years’ experience including a decade of senior leadership positions in Fortescue Metals Group, ranging from General Manager Rail, Group Manager Integrated Planning, Mine Manager Christmas Creek Mine and most recently as Technical Manager Business Development. Mr Cathcart also hold his MBA and has strong experience across other Tier 1 major mining companies.
Lloyd Edmunds
Project Director – Civil
Mr Edmunds is a Civil Engineer with more than 20 years of project management and construction delivery experience for leading resources and infrastructure companies. Mr Edmunds has led extensive civil projects worth multi-billion dollars at Fortescue (T45 and T155), and Adani Carmichael Rail.
Clint McGhie
Company Secretary
Mr McGhie is an experienced Chartered Accountant and Company Secretary who commenced his career at a large international accounting firm and has since been involved with a number of ASX and AIM listed exploration and development companies operating in the resources sector, including Apollo Minerals Limited, Berkeley Energia Limited and Sovereign Metals Limited. Mr McGhie is also an Associate Member of the Governance Institute of Australia (Chartered Secretary), and a Fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia.
Jacqui Hymus
Manager – People & Culture
Mrs Hymus is a trusted human resources professional with over 25 years’ experience and has held senior, strategic roles within the consulting, mining, professional services and hospitality industry. Competent across the full range of human resources abilities with a specific focus on delivering on organisational change and managing issues at both the strategic and individual level. Mrs Hymus’ extensive experience includes providing advice and support around improving human resources practices, policies and procedures, coaching senior management and training.
Matt Bungey
Project Director – Strategy & Funding
Mr Bungey is an investment banker and experienced advisor across mergers and acquisitions and financing. Mr Bungey has been involved in over US$100 billion of executed mergers and acquisitions across the resources and agriculture sectors, including deals such as the Glencore Xstrata merger. Mr Bungey has also been involved in numerous groundbreaking financings and is a Board member of BGC Australia. Prior to banking Mr Bungey worked as a Chemical Engineer in the mining sector.
Grant Coyle
Head of Corporate Development
Mr Coyle is a Chartered Accountant with more than a decade of experience in senior commercial roles at Rio Tinto. Mr Coyle has extensive experience in the commercial assessment of capital expenditure encompassing greenfield, brownfield and mergers and acquisitions. Mr Coyle spent significant time negotiating major commercial contracts such as Joint Ventures and off-take contracts and spent time at Macquarie Capital focused on investment and advisory.
Travis Burrows
Manager – Commercial
Mr Burrows has nearly 30 years’ experience in the Australian and Asia Pacific Region including more than 15 years’ experience in senior leadership positions. Most recently prior to joining Salt Lake Potash, he held a senior leadership role with one of Australia’s leading engineering, contracting and service providers in the infrastructure, building, energy, resources and transport sectors. He is a board member of Regional Development Australia and is an elected member at City of South Perth. Travis is a Mechanical Engineer and has substantial contracts, commercial and governance experience in construction, project management and operations.
