We are now seeking an experienced Process Plant Superintendent working B2B on a family friendly 8/6 roster FIFO ex Perth to our Wiluna Lake Way operations. The role

We’re looking for a hands-on Process Plant Superintendent to lead the day-to-day operations of our plant, ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable performance. This is a leadership-focused role, where you'll be responsible for coordinating people, processes, and maintenance activities to meet production targets.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and mentoring the plant operations team to drive performance and continuous improvement.
  • Overseeing daily plant operations, equipment inspections, and maintenance to ensure optimal output.
  • Collaborating with department leaders to prioritise tasks and minimise downtime.
  • Managing contractors and supporting recruitment, rostering, and training of personnel.
  • Maintaining compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standards.
  • Contributing to planning and budgeting, including shutdown scopes and maintenance scheduling.
  • Using CMMS to manage preventative maintenance and ensure long-term plant reliability.

About you

You will have as a minimum, 10-years industry experience within process plants. Highly regarded will be experience in gold flocculant operation, potash, salt, lithium or rare minerals. You will be able to demonstrate experience in generating cost budgets and forecasts, with significant experience in managing the performance of teams and individuals.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Completion of Certificate IV Frontline Management is advantageous.
  • Completion of minimum requirements to satisfy Section 26 statutory requirements. This includes attainment of Level 4 and Level 5 risk management competencies and meeting the requirements of the DMIRS mining law examination applicable to the position.
  • Minimum qualification is a Certificate IV in Operations preferably in an operational Process Plant a diploma or degree in engineering would be highly considered.
  • Current “C” Class Western Australian driver’s license.

You will have excellent systems capability in the following areas:

  • Intermediate computer literacy and business software knowledge of systems and software.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Office 365 applications.
  • Experience using Pronto on an intermediate level.
  • Working knowledge using Aconex.
  • Intermediate user of INX.

We would expect you to have:

  • In-depth understanding of the Workplace Health and Safety Act 2020 and Workplace Health and Safety (Mines) Regulations 2022.
  • Sound comprehension of process plant methodologies, equipment and critical operating parameters.
  • Basic chemistry and fluid mechanics.
